Widely considered to be the definitive of the many film versions of Charles Dickens' classic novel is this 1951 British adaptation, starring Alastair Sim, Kathleen Harrison and Mervyn Johns. A Christmas Carol is the timeless tale of the grouchy Ebenezer Scrooge. When Scrooge is visited by his business partners ghost covered in shackles, he is informed that he will be condemned to the same fate if he does not change his selfish ways. Scrooge’s night gets even stranger when he is visited by three more ghosts; Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.
